Kokomo, IN 8/2010
CH2M Hill awarded Lee & Ryan to demolish the Water Treatment Plant at the Continental Steel Superfund Site. The demolition activities included not only the Water Treatment Plant, but clarifiers, all appurtenances within the building, concrete foundations, concrete and asphatlic paving pads, fire suppression system cylinders and canisters and all electrical utilities including transformers. Surveys were conducted for asbestos and lead based paint containing material prior to demo. Characterized material was abated and properly disposed.

Contracting through CH2M Hill to clear and grub approximately 56 acres of the Lagoon Area located at the Continental Steel Superfund Site. The team removed all overgrown vegetation and other organic matter including small trees, stumps, buried logs, roots, shrubs, brush and tall grass. Any material that had the possibility to have containments was tested and properly disposed.

Lee & Ryan was contracted by CH2M Hill at the Continental Steel Superfund Site to perform transportation and disposal non-hazardous and hazardous material. The scope of work included loading 227.45 tons of TSCA regulated soil for disposal at a permitted hazardous waste facility. The team was also required to load and dispose of 5,794.58 tons of Trichloroethylene (TCE) laden sediment. 390.47 tons of general debris was disposed at a non-hazardous waste facility. This project was completed ahead of projected schedule.
Kokomo, IN 9/2009
Subcontracting to CH2M Hill at the Continental Steel Superfund Site. The team excavated and hauled 304,000 cubic yards of clean fill from an off-site borrow area to backfill Markland Quarry. The placement of the clean fill also included accurate compaction rate based on the contract. Additional duties to the scope included debris removal and environmental testing. The duration of the project was 8 months.
Annapolis, MO 8/2007
Completed a lead mine remediation contract in Region 7 of the U.S. EPA. The project involved earthwork and creek-bed stabilization. Lee & Ryan mobilized in August 2007, with a 35-day timeframe given by the EPA. Lee & Ryan completed the project in 21 days.
Columbus, NE 1/2007
Conducting chemical oxidant injections with a groundwater contaminated plume (3 year option). During the base year of this project, 68 chemical injections were completed in round one; the second round consisted of 59 injection points; and the third round consisted of 85 injection points. All three rounds have been completed.
