Hines, IL 11/2009
Renovation of 21,243 square feet 5th floor Surgical Outpatient Clinic. Lee & Ryan mobilized in September of 2008 to start renovation work at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital. The work included demolition and complete new construction of the floor. Demolition consisted of abatement and removal of asbestos/hazardous material. New construction was comprised of new acoustic ceiling grids, light fixtures, dimmer switches, floor preparation for VCT, furring the perimeter wall along the new office and conference rooms/areas framed in demountable partitions and provided specified furniture/fixtures. The project also included electrical for outlets, switches, computer data, mechanical modifications, plumbing and HVAC.
Butler, PA 8/2009
Fire Pump design/build at VAMC Butler, PA. Lee & Ryan provided complete design/build service to develop working drawing and specifications including, but not limited to, professional engineer/construction services, general construction, alteration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and site work for installation of the new fire pump. The company was also responsible for providing temporary measures to ensure uninterrupted operation of the fire suppression for the medical center.
Asheville, NC 8/2008
Modification of curbs and gutters at the Asheville VAMC. The project consisted of removal of curb cuts, removal and addition of sidewalks, add elevated walkways and traffic control bollards.
Butler, PA 7/2008
Installation of an underground storage tank at the VA Medical Center in Butler, PA. This was Lee & Ryan's third sole source award since PL 109-461 was released.
Butler, PA 6/2008
Replacement of four (4) single-wall day tanks with double-wall day tanks. Lee & Ryan will also provide new fuel oil supply and return lines from the day tanks to where the fuel lines enter and exit the building. During replacement Lee & Ryan provided and conected a portable, temporary 25-gallon day tank.

Professional design/build and healthcare planning services to include: Site investigation architectural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical (alarm) systems for medical gases. Project was completed on time and on budget to the satisfaction of the VA. This was the first SDVOSB sole-source awarded and completed by Lee & Ryan.

Installation of a Gamma Camera. The work included the development of working drawings and specifications (Design/Build) to perform site preparation work for the removal and replacement of existing Gamma Camera equipment located on the tenth floor a the VA facility.

Remove and replace all wet roofing, install a foam Polyurethane Roof System, and replace the copper flashing at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. Work started in 10/07 and was completed within 180 Calendar days from Notice to Proceed.

Underground storage tank removal, aboveground storage tank installation, re-routing of all major utilities, building demolition, asbestos abatement, remediation of contaminated soil, and parking lot resurfacing.
Tuscaloosa, AL 8/2007
Demolition, testing and certification, transportation and full time supervision necessary to perform and complete the replacement of underground storage tanks (UST''s ) located on the VA Medical Center grounds. Work involved: Cleaning and closing in place four (4) existing 20,000-gallon UST''s. Demolishion associated piping, and concrete manholes. Installation of four (4) 12,000-gallon aboveground storage tanks (AST''s) including piping system, fuel tank monitoring system, concrete pad, masonry fence, and landscaping. Sidewalk and asphalt repair is also expected. Additionally, removal and disposal of a 1,000-gallon AST and the replacement testing and reporting (completed in-house by Lee & Ryan) required by Alabama Department of Environmental Management.

Design and constructions services to "Replace & Upgrade Fuel Oil Storage Tanks" at the VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, Nashville Campus and York Campus. Lee & Ryan furnished all labor, materials, supervision, and equipment necessary to complete the design and renovation. Construction and design work included fire and safety, fire alarm, sprinkler, demolition, industrial hygiene, abatement, structural, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical power, and systems
Lee & Ryan developed a designed with the VA design team to insure that all needs and project objectives were met. During Design Development, Lee & Ryan was responsible for independently analyzing conditions, needs, systems and developing unique, optimal proposals to achieve project objectives.
Indianapolis, IN 9/2006
Remove and replaced three (3) existing 75/100 gallon generator day tanks with new 100-gallon day tanks. Lee & Ryan supplied temporary piping directly from the underground fuel oil tank to the generator set before the day tank was changed so that the emergency generator still had fuel at all times.

Replacement of eleven (11) aboveground day tanks (AST''s) at three (3) locations within the campus of the Pittsburgh VA Health Care System. The tanks consisted of various sizes ranging from 100-gallons to 275-gallons. Work complied with the conditions and requirements of the specifications and drawings, local government and VA regulations, UA EPA and PA department codes and regulations, and the Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh Fire Marshall. Work included: Day Tank with double wall secondary detection system with solenoid shut down, pipin and connections, automatic day tank level controller, fuel level gauge, electrical connections, and solenoid control, low level on (fill), high level off, high level alarm, and shutoff.

Upgrade of three (3) 3,000-gallon double walled diesel fuel underground storage tanks (UST) and complied with the conditions and requirements of the specifications and drawings, local government and VA regulations, US EPA and PA Department codes and regulations, and the Allegheny County and City of Pittsburgh Fire Marshall. Work included: Overfull and spill containment, excavation, and cathodic protection design and replacement, replacement of monitoring systems, alarm/shut-off control installation, total sump containment and sump sensors installation, Pnumercator LC 1001 alarm-control console installation, electrical system upgrade, and concrete pavement replacement. Contract was completed within budget and two weeks earlier than given deadline.
